The Oak Lodge is one of three lodges available for rent in historic Camp Mishike! All three lodges (Birch, Oak and Balsam) provides a year round vacation paradise and great family fun on beautiful Harris Lake (550 acres) located in Winchester, WI (Vilas County). You and your family will fall in love with this camp as you are surrounded by woods and water! You can rent one or all three lodges depending on the size of your group. Whether you are looking to relax and read that book, enjoy the sounds of your children laughing, adventures of catching that big fish, biking, hiking, or All of the Above - Let the family vacation traditions begin!!

Oak Lodge provides:

A rustic log-sided lodge that sits on top of the hill overlooking the beautiful lake.  Once you step inside this lodge you will be wowed by the stone fireplace, updated knotty pine walls and vaulted ceilings. If peace, relaxation, coziness and a nostalgic feel is what you are looking for - you have found it! This lodge is perfect for a couple's retreat or small family.

Sleeps up to 6 people: 1 bedroom with Queen, 2nd bedroom with two twin beds and 1 full size sofa sleeper in the living room

1 full bath with shower

Fully equipped kitchen

Living room with wood burning fireplace

Free Wifi and Smart TV to stream your favorite shows/movies

Pier and One bay in private boathouse.  Bring your own boat or use the row boat and canoe provided with this rental (public boat launch is located right down the road)

Barbeque Charcoal Grill (Not available in winter months)

Firepit for those fun summer nights gazing at the stars or sharing stories

Ample parking for your vehicle and trailer

Camp Mishike Guests Share the following Amenities:

Sand bottom beach swimming area with gentle slope (safe for children to play)

Recreation Center for everyone to enjoy some ping pong or foosball (Closed in Winter)

Basketball court

Horseshoe pits

Playground equipment

(Your children can safely play within secluded Camp Mishike with a 10 mph speed limit throughout the camp)

Fish house to clean your fish

A rowboat and a canoe are available to guests free of charge.

The 550 acre Harris Lake features:

Great fishing which features Walleye, Musky, Northern Pike and Bass. Use the shared fish house to clean your fish is an added bonus here at Camp Mishike!

Bring your own boat for Recreational fun or boat rentals are nearby.

Families have been returning to Camp Mishike for over 30 years to enjoy the many family traditions and activities the Northwoods has to offer. Fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and biking are great summer activities, while snowmobiling, ice fishing, show shoeing and skiing are great ways to spend time here during the winter months.

Even though all of the amenities offered at Camp Mishike will keep guests of all ages entertained, if you want to venture outside of camp, there are many more things to do:

Head to Minocqua, Boulder Junction, Presque Isle and Manitowish Waters for shops and restaurants.

Also, located close by, you’ll find the Catherine Wolter Conservancy, the Win-Man Trails, the Ottawa National Forest, and the North Lakeland Discovery Center, all of which offer miles of mapped hiking/biking trails and self-guided nature walks to enhance your experience. The snowmobile trails are a short distance from the lodges off of Highway W and extend for miles. There is plenty of space in the driveway for your vehicle and trailer.

If you are looking to workout or relax indoors, you should check out the MAC (Manitowish Waters Athletic Club)? Only 12 miles away, you can purchase a daily pass to use the facilities for ages 14 yrs or older. The MAC is a first-class fitness center equipped with everything you need whether you want to work out, enjoy a swim in the salt water pool or relax in the Hot tub (salt water) or the sauna. Or, not too much further away you can explore the Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds or the numerous waterfalls located at the Black River Scenic Byway or on the Presque Isle River. Don't forget to check out the Lake Superior beach over the suspension bridge at the end of the Black River Scenic Byway - SO Beautiful!

For Big Snow skiing we are only within 35 miles from Michigan's popular Big Powderhorn, Blackjack and Indianhead.
