Winter Camp Rules

The Lodge you are renting and the dwellings surrounding it is/are privately owned.

Please respect the privacy of the other dwellings, it’s owners/guests and the land surrounding each

    Snowmobiling at Camp Mishike

OFF ROAD RIDING IS PROHIBITED! Please make sure to always stay on the road or driveways. If riding other than on the roads, you will encounter many hazards, such as stumps, boulders, septic vents, well heads, horseshoe pits and wood piles. Riding on the road is all that is permitted. Sleds riding throughout camp or onto snowbanks will be asked to leave.

ACCESS TO TRAIL To access the main snowmobile trail you will want to ride down East Harris Lake Road to Old W. You will then take Old W to the east (Left Turn). This will take you to HWY W near the RETREAT BAR where you will jump onto the many trails of VILAS COUNTY and IRON COUNTY. Please do not ride in the ditches or on snowbanks along the roads. Please try to avoid traveling past the Horse Farm whenever possible. In your travels on these roads, you might encounter other snowmobile tracks in these restricted areas, however that does not permit you to follow them. Please keep your snowmobiles single file on the designated road. If there’s not enough snow to ride the roads to access the trails, we suggest you trailer to an appropriate place to unload your sleds.

The only access to Harris Lake with snowmobiles is at the boat landing located on East Harris Lake Rd. As a reminder, there is no such thing as safe ice. Ride at your own risk.

Any snowmobile with an illegal exhaust system (decibel readings exceeding 82 – state law) are not allowed on the property. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please be respectful to our other guests that are renting and wanting to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Village Point Lane (AKA Camp Mishike Shores Dr.) is used by many other homeowners and the public. The posted speed limit is 10 mph. The speed limit must be adhered to at all times when using any motorized vehicle. Speeding, rough housing, hotdogging on Village Point Lane and the Camp Mishike Shores Condo Association Property will not be tolerated.

If you have a snowmobile, you agree to abide by all WDNR Snowmobile rules as noted in the “Wisconsin Snowmobile Laws” handout provided.

Please review the Town of Winchester snowmobile ordinance 2018-08 you have been provided.

Please review the Town of Winchester ATV/UTV ordinance #2021-02 you have been provided. East Harris Lake Rd north of the boat launch turns into Harris Creek Lane, at that point the road is private and is posted to indicate that ATV/UTV’s are not permitted.

SMOKING IS PERMITTED OUTDOORS; ALL CIGAR &/OR CIGARETTE BUTTS MUST BE PROPERLY PICKED UP AND PROPERLY DISPOSED.

OUR HOMES ARE INSPECTED IMMEDIATELY UPON CHECKOUT AND ANY TRACE OF SMOKING IS IMMEDIATELY IDENTIFIABLE TO THE PROCEEDING GUESTS. You agree to the forfeit of the damage deposit and understand the owner will determine if the unit has an odor from smoking of any substance.

    Quiet Hours & Visitors

Our Properties are party free, unless pre-approved in advance per the rentals agreement.

We totally understand that life is full of good reasons to celebrate with a party (in fact, we love a fun party, but in the appropriate place). The "No Party" and quiet rules are enforced at all times.

We have a zero-tolerance policy that will result in immediate eviction from the property without a refund and the Lessee Guest will be 100% responsible for additional cleaning costs and all damage incurred.

Guests must abide by reasonable rules of conduct and not to disturb neighbors or other residents. Please keep noise to a reasonable level, both inside and outside of our homes. Quiet hours are between 9:00 PM - 8:00 AM. All visitors not registered as guests must vacate the property by 10 PM daily.

Guests must agree not to use any premises other than those rented and to respect the property of neighbors and other residents.

The "Guest" Lessee must be 25 years or older and must be present during the stay.

The "Guest" Lessee is responsible for the actions of any other person on the rental premises. Only registered guests that are included on the reservation are permitted to stay at our homes.

Please ensure that the correct number of guests is reflected in your reservation request.

We realize that sometimes accidents happen, it's part of life. We also expect that our Guests will treat our homes and items in them with care and respect.

Please let us know about any items that were broken or damaged during your stay. Minor broken items are part of renting and we don't charge our guests for them. But any material damage in or to our home during the rental period caused by the guest is the responsibility of the "Guest" Lessee and must be reimbursed to the applicable Property.

Guests agree to respect the Property and leave them in the same condition as when they were rented. Furniture and objects for guests use must be handled with care and used only for the purposes for which they are intended.

Outdoor sporting equipment is not allowed inside our homes as they can cause damages to the floors and walls. Since we know so many people come to enjoy the outdoor activities, we do allow equipment to be stored on exterior decks and porch areas.

Guests are responsible for the security of their items and the owners of the Property are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Each Property driveway will accommodate between 2 to 3 cars which are sufficient for the capacity of each Property. Please see each Property description for the exact number for your Property.

    • Parking on the road is not permitted at any time.

    • Don’t park in the yard.

    • Don’t use the neighbor's driveways.

    • A parking area is specifically allocated for your unit. Please do not park outside the area designated for the dwelling you are renting. The property manager should provide you with the location to park your vehicles, trailers, boats and sleds.

    • Please use the designated paths for access to the shoreline/lake
